Arise Church - Arise!
Awaken
A Prophetic Word for the Church
Complacency has crept in. The fire has faded. But the Spirit still moves—and the Church must awaken.
Awaken traces revival’s footsteps through history and calls believers today to rise with truth, unity, and Spirit-led power. These songs confront apathy, stir repentance, and renew the call to love, holiness, and service.
Rooted in Scripture and shaped by the Great Awakenings, this album was made to teach the Word, shake the soul, and spark the Church back to life.

Stayin’ busy life moves fast
Chasing deadlines making cash
Pride creeps in doesn’t even ask
Next thing I know I’m off track
On the road side breakin’ my back
I won’t hide what I’ve done
Uncoverin’ sin within
I confess to you O Lord
Forgive the depth of my sin
Saylah amen a-men
Surrounded in a flood
Pulled from what is good
But in the noise I hear your voice
A hiding place my soul’s choice
Shield me with deliverance
I won’t hide what I’ve done
Uncoverin’ sin within
I confess to you O Lord
Forgive the depth of my sin
Saylah amen a-men
I get numb and drift away
Lose the fire day by day
You gave me purpose gave me life
But I sit still and call it fine
Wake me Lord I think it’s time
I won’t hide what I’ve done
Uncoverin’ sin within
I confess to you O Lord
Forgive the depth of my sin
Saylah amen a-men
I won’t hide what I’ve done
Uncoverin’ sin within
I confess to you O Lord
Forgive the depth of my sin
Oh forgive my cold-hearted self-loving sin
Idols aren’t always stone
Not just foreign gods on thrones
When we imagine less than right
We mock the God who is the light
When your heart sees God as less
A twisted truth it will confess
You fashion a god to match your view
Cruel or kind but never true
It starts in thoughts we distort
Worship fades thankfulness falls short
Vain desires begin to shape
A fitting god our hearts create
When your heart sees God as less
A twisted truth it will confess
You fashion a god to match your view
Cruel or kind but never true
Images take a sacred place
Saint or angel all a disgrace
We call them holy but we lie
And lead the blinded soul to die
When your heart sees God as less
A twisted truth it will confess
You fashion a god to match your view
Cruel or kind but never true
Come taste and see the Lord is good
Not as we dream but as He’s always stood
Lift your eyes and seek His face
Know His truth and walk in grace
Formed with love
And placed into Christ
You called us with purpose
In one body raised to life
I lay down these dirty rags
To reach out for your hand
A vessel you’ve longed to fill
I’m ready to yield to your plan
I don’t want to be lukewarm
I’m ready to obey
I wanna walk in the Spirit
Help me day by day
I lay down these dirty rags
To reach out for your hand
A vessel you’ve longed to fill
I’m ready to yield to your plan
You’ve called us to build the body
To love one another
To walk in the Spirit together
As sisters and brothers
To walk in the Spirit
As sisters and brothers
With grace given to each
Accordin’ to his measure
We lay down these dirty rags
To reach out for your hand
Vessels you’ve longed to fill
We yield to your perfect plan
We lay down these dirty rags
To reach out for your hand
Vessels you’ve longed to fill
We yield to your perfect plan
I urge you now don’t drift or play
This call from God won’t fade away
We ain’t here to fill seats
We’re made to rise we’re born to meet
With humble hearts and hands that heal
Upholdin’ the bond the Spirit sealed
Christ gave the call then gave the grace
Each part equipped to take its place
We ain’t a crowd we’re built to grow
One body movin’ as He shows
Filled by the Spirit movin’ in time
To walk in unity and shine
We act like faith’s a private claim
Split the Church to guard our name
But God is one though persons three
And calls with one voice, unity
He gave out grace no gift to spare
We need the gifts one another bear
Christ gave the call then gave the grace
Each part equipped to take its place
We ain’t a crowd we’re built to grow
One body movin’ as He shows
Filled by the Spirit movin’ in time
To walk in unity and shine
We’re quick to judge and walk alone
Forget the gifts we don’t own
But Christ came low then rose on high
To fill His people far and wide
He poured out grace in every part
So love could mend all the broken hearts
Christ gave the call then gave the grace
Each part equipped to take its place
We ain’t a crowd we’re built to grow
One body movin’ as He shows
Filled by the Spirit movin’ in time
To walk in unity and shine
This ain’t for show this ain’t for pride
We need each other to survive
Ain’t no revival without the root
Of love that lives and walks in truth
Christ gave the call then gave the grace
Each part equipped to take its place
We ain’t a crowd we’re built to grow
One body movin’ as He shows
Filled by the Spirit movin’ in time
To walk in unity and shine
Don’t play me
I Need You
I Need You
You’ve seen shepherds you heard the sound
It ain’t a call to stand down
Christ gave you gifts don’t sit don’t chill
Step in your place and do His will
Rise up church don’t wait no more
The Spirit’s knockin at your door
Every part got work to give
One body one Lord one way to live
This body’s limpin the joints won’t move
We talk of love we fail to prove
You weren’t made to watch this die
You got work that glorifies
Rise up church don’t wait no more
The Spirit’s knockin at your door
Every part got work to give
One body one Lord one way to live
Can’t wear Christ and keep that shame
Old man grins when you play his game
Throw off the rags you wore too long
Walk in truth where you belong
Rise up church don’t wait no more
The Spirit’s knockin at your door
Every part got work to give
One body one Lord one way to live
Back in old Northampton town
The church sat still just gatherin’ round
Hearts were cold prayers were thin
Folks showed up but stayed in sin
Then a preacher quiet eyes like flame
Read a word that shook their shame
No shoutin’ no lights no show
Just the fear of God and a hunger to know
That fire fell outta heaven not man
Hearts cried out like thunder on land
Tears on the pews groans in the night
Revival burned without a mic
It wasn’t hype it was holy fear
God showed up and drew hearts near
Then came George from ‘cross the sea
Preachin’ loud in the open breeze
He stood on stumps and fields of stone
With a voice like wind through a megaphone
Crowds by thousands rain or shine
Listened like God broke through the line
He said you must be born again
And rich or poor they said amen
That fire fell outta heaven not man
Hearts cried out like thunder on land
Taverns closed debts got paid
Chains fell off where saints had prayed
It wasn’t staged it broke the mold
He lit a fire in young and old
Some said too loud some said too wild
But the Spirit moved through woman and child
From farms to ports from black to white
Souls woke up and walked in light
It wasn’t clean it wasn’t tame
But they all left different than they came
That fire fell outta heaven not man
Like a holy storm through a sleeping land
No fog machine no polished plan
Just truth that burned through every man
It left a mark we still recall
When heaven touched the hearts of all
So if you’re tired of church gone dry
Lift your voice look to the sky
That fire ain’t dead He still breaks through
He did it back then He can do it in you
In 1801 the word spread wide
At Cane Ridge folks came side by side
Not for show not dressed to shine
But hungry hearts who sought the Divine
With shaking hands and tear washed eyes
They met their God beneath the skies
He met us in the dirt where pride had died
Where preacher’s words cut deep and wide
No pulpit high just saints and dust
The Spirit pressed repent and trust
From sawdust trails to courthouse squares
He taught the church to act through prayer
As cities rose and factories turned
Another flame of passion burned
Finney cried you must decide
Don’t wait for grace to override
He pled like every soul was near
To heaven’s edge or hell’s frontier
He met us in the mills on factory floors
Where workers knelt on hardwood boards
The altar call was loud and clear
Live out the faith you claim to hear
With every cry and lifted hand
The church was shaped to take a stand
In burned over lands the fire stayed lit
With prayers that rose from barns with grit
They didn’t wait for votes or nods
Just moved when called by living God
The call was bold be set apart
And carry truth with burning heart
They thundered loud no man should own
A soul that God has called his own
The Word declared all flesh the same
One blood one cross one holy name
From pulpits bold to midnight tracks
The church rose up and pushed hell back
He met us in the roar where truth was cried
Where justice rang and fear had died
No longer still no longer tame
The church stood up in Jesus’ name
Before the war the fire had grown
A holy blaze that burned alone
And what we learned in fire and storm
That faith must move not just conform
He calls again in every land
Not just to kneel but take a stand
When hearts were faint we learned to pray
A spark of faith lit up the way
On Fulton’s floor six souls knelt low
God showed his power through humble show
No grand design just open cries
Revival comes where pride subsides
He calls us to his work divine
To pray to serve to cross the line
Not for fame but hearts made new
The church awoke with work to do
From city streets to distant lands
His lessons guide our willing hands
We learned to act where pain was deep
To serve the lost not just to weep
Moody’s voice and Sankey’s hymns
Brought Christ’s hope to city within
Faith isn’t words but hands that move
To prove the love we claim to prove
He calls us to his work divine
To pray to serve to cross the line
Not for fame but hearts made new
The church awoke with work to do
From crowded halls to broken slums
His lessons shape what we become
The Booths taught all can bear the call
From women’s hearts to students’ zeal
Their army marched with bread and grace
While missions sailed to every place
No rank or role can bind his plan
God moves through every willing hand
We learned to stand as one in Christ
No lines divide our faith sufficed
Revived hearts fought to set slaves free
Faith moved the world through unity
Revival lasts when hearts endure
Through steady work not fleeting cure
He calls us to his work divine
To pray to serve to cross the line
Not fleeting fire but lasting light
The church must rise to walk aright
From past to now his lessons stay
To lead his people on his way
In every age his call is clear
Through humble hearts his voice we hear
The lessons learned in fire and prayer
Still guide the church to love and care
We remember the 1960’s—the whole world was breaking apart
War overseas, protests in the streets, drugs numbing a generation
The Church didn’t know what to do with us
But Jesus showed up in places no one expected
On beaches, in coffeehouses, under open skies
And somewhere in all that noise, a quiet revival started to burn
He met us in the desert haze
Through broken songs and barefoot praise
Not robes or rules but love made clear
A Jesus call the lost could hear
Through open hearts and simple ways
The Church was changed in those wild days
They came unwashed long-haired and unsure
But Chuck Smith opened the doors of Calvary Chapel and let them sit barefoot and searching
There they found more than music and welcome
They found the gospel preached verse by verse
And revival followed
He met us in the counterflow
Where sandals tread and Spirit’d blow
Not perfect saints but souls set free
Revival found in honesty
No stage too small no heart too far
The light still shone where rebels are
It wasn’t about polished buildings or perfect behavior
We learned that Jesus met people where they were
On the streets in drug houses in doubt
The Church grew when it listened welcomed and made space for truth to grow
We learned to worship with raised hands and open hearts
We asked questions we let go of control
The Jesus Movement wasn’t about control
It was about trust
Trusting the Spirit to guide
Trusting the gospel to speak
Letting love lead
He met us in the days of doubt
When all the lights were burning out
He lit the way with songs and grace
And built His Church in every place
The lessons stand the call remains
To love to serve to bear His name
The fourth awakening showed us that revival isn’t something you manufacture
It happens when hearts open truth is preached and love makes room
Even now He meets us still
They preached with fear in colonies new
Whitefield roared and hearts broke through
From wooden pews to open skies
When the Spirit blows saints arise
Then campfires burned where sinners came
The second wave called out their name
Finney cried now choose this day
And holiness walked the narrow way
When the Spirit blows saints arise
Not once not twice but every time
When hearts grew cold the Spirit stirrs
Through truth proclaimed and gospel heard
From field to street from now to then
He wakes his church again and again
A banker prayed while markets broke
In Fulton Street the third awoke
Moody’s voice a mission’s birth
Love moved out across the earth
In denim robes and barefoot feet
The fourth came humming gospel beats
They sang on beaches told the truth
And Jesus moved among the youth
When the Spirit blows saints arise
Not once not twice but every time
When hearts grew cold the Spirit stirrs
Through truth proclaimed and gospel heard
From field to street from now to then
He wakes his church again and again
Now trust is thin and screens are loud
But hungry hearts won’t join the crowd
They want what’s real not just a show
Where Spirit speaks and Scriptures glow
No megachurch no algorithm
Just saints equipped to walk with him
The fifth is not a blaze from men
It’s Christ alive and truth again
When the Spirit blows saints arise
Not once not twice but every time
When hearts grew cold the Spirit stirrs
Through truth proclaimed and gospel heard
From field to street from now to then
He wakes his church again and again
He’s not done with this broken land
He builds his church with willing hands
Awake O church and stand upright
The Spirit blows and revival’s coals grow bright
He made us a little like Christ
In the gifts He gave
as he brought dead hearts to life
He Empowered His body to carry His name
Yet we’re limping along divided and ashamed
He is willingoh so willing
We are ableHe’s done the filling
It’s time to rise ‘n walk in His call
To be His hands His feetOne and all
His plan is clear His will expressed
But the hold-up’s herethe body’s a mess
Still He gave a vision bold and bright
Of a church in step walking in the light
I’ve seen it in Acts heard it in the Epistles
Felt it in the the awakenings’ firey sizzel
He is willing oh so willing
We are able He’s done the filling
It’s time to rise ‘n walk in His call
To be His hands His feet One and all
It means repentanceturning from sin
No more apathy or hiding within
Not just sitting side by side
But living close with arms open wide
He is willingoh so willing
We are ableHe’s done the filling
It’s time to rise ‘n walk in his call
To be His hands His feet One and all
Like a familyeach one known
Meeting needs not walking alone
Vulnerable real focused true
With all humility in all we do
With patience bearing in love
Eager to guard the peace from above
One Spirit one bond one aim
To lift up Jesus not our name
It looks like revivalhearts set free
It looks like homes with hospitality
It looks like ministry pouring out
Not a Sunday show with empty shouts
He is willing oh so willing
We are able He’s done the filling
It’s time to rise ‘n walk in his call
To be His hands His feet One and all
He is willingdon’t you see
We’ve been gifted set apart to be
A living body not just a crowd
But a holy people bold and loud
THE CHURCH’S CALL TO RISE
Unveiling the Biblical Tapestry
The Church is not called to sleep through history. Throughout time, God has stirred His people to rise—calling them to repentance, unity, and bold service through the power of the Spirit.
Unholy Distraction, drawn from Psalm 32:5 and Revelation 3:1–3, confronts the numbing effects of busyness and hidden sin. It pleads for renewal through confession and a return to spiritual clarity.
Idols Aren’t Always Stone, based on Romans 1:21–25 and Exodus 20:3–5, reminds us that idolatry begins in distorted thoughts. It warns against reshaping God to fit our own desires.
Hold His Hand, echoing Ephesians 4:1–13 and 2 Timothy 2:21, is a prayer of surrender. It calls the Church to holiness, unity, and readiness to walk in God’s design.
Don’t Play Me, shaped by Ephesians 4:11–16 and 1 Corinthians 12:12–27, challenges passive faith. It urges believers to use their gifts and walk together in unity and purpose.
You’ve Got Work To Do, inspired by Romans 13:11–14 and James 2:14–18, calls the Church to action. It refuses spiritual complacency and declares that every member has a part in God’s work.
First Great Awakening, based on John 3:3 and Acts 2:37–41, remembers a revival marked by deep conviction and gospel clarity. It reflects the preaching of Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield.
Second Great Awakening, drawn from 2 Corinthians 7:10 and Micah 6:8, highlights revival through bold preaching, repentance, and action in the face of social injustice.
Third Great Awakening, rooted in Isaiah 58:6–12 and Matthew 5:16, centers on prayer, compassion, and steady faithfulness. It celebrates revival born not of hype but humility.
Fourth Great Awakening, shaped by Acts 2:42–47 and Luke 15:1–2, recounts the Jesus Movement. It shows how love, honesty, and openness made space for the Spirit to move.
Awaken, grounded in Ezekiel 37:1–14 and Romans 13:11, brings past awakenings into the present. It calls the Church to rise in faith and be filled anew by the Spirit.
Prophetic Cry, based on Ephesians 4:1–6 and Acts 2:42–47, closes the album with a clear call to unity, repentance, and authentic community. It envisions the Church alive and active in love.
