Each song carries God’s truth with care—built on Scripture’s meaning, shaped by sound doctrine, and voiced through blues, rock, folk, and country. The chief aim is the Church’s edification. Music has long shaped the Church’s memory, and this work seeks to continue that tradition with melodies that feel familiar. and lyrics grounded in the Word, written to engage both heart and mind.
Every song begins with one or more biblical passages. Joshaven approaches songwriting like sermon preparation. The chorus presents the passage’s central truth, while the verses unfold its supporting arguments. AI tools assist with arrangement, but the heart behind each song is shaped by a desire to serve the Church, stir the soul, and glorify Christ.

The Mission
Joshaven Potter Music exists to serve the Church with Scripture-based songs that teach, exhort, and build up the body of Christ. Rooted in the calling of Ephesians 4, this work is one member’s expression of ministry, using God-given gifts to help the Church grow in truth, love, and maturity. These songs aim to encourage unity, stir repentance, and deepen spiritual life by presenting God’s Word clearly and faithfully. This is music for ministry, not performance, and it is freely offered as a gift to the Church.
